Can you help us please? Earlier this month, our relief Atlantic 85 inshore lifeboat, Martin Frederick Whitehouse, capsized whilst on exercise off Porth #Newquay.
Our three RNLI volunteers were unhurt and successfully righted the lifeboat, before returning safely to harbour under the lifeboat’s own power.
However, a red ensign (flag) similar to the one in the picture, was lost during the capsize. It was given to the boat’s donor in 2014 and was stored vacuum-packed inside a container on the lifeboat. We would love to reunite the missing red ensign with the lifeboat, so if you find it, please let us know. Thanks from us all.
